I am an indie folk artist and composer with rock’n’roll in my DNA.

About Me

I was born in Zambia when Good Vibrations was no.1 and shooting stars filled the skies. Although I grew up in England, I consider myself a citizen of the world.I am a songwriter, a poet and a healer, as well as an international recording artist. I live with my lover in rural France, on land we are converting to a healing garden.My songs are intimate, as well as dealing with life’s bigger issues, and although heavily Americana-influenced they have a British feel to them.Last year, I refined my art at The Songwriting Academy, with wonderful mentors such as Paul Statham, Shelly Poole and Julian Hinton.My special skills are lyric-writing and toplining, as well as translating songs to and from French, and helping non-English speakers refine their lyrics. I also proof-read to a high standard.Please get in touch if you want to collaborate or would like help with any of the above.I recorded my debut album, In The Saints’ Wood, in Woodstock with Simone Felice, Gail Ann Dorsey, Larry Campbell and other stellar beings. It felt like the beginning of something beautiful, but I crashed my car massively on my return and then life got in the way of me releasing the album. Until now.Currently, I play in a duo called Rootstock, and am looking to restart my folk-rock band, Midnight Riders. Watch this space!

Impossible Love is track 8 on my album, In The Saints' Wood. This music video is made with footage from the TV series Arcane: League of Legends.Arcane is a brilliant animated series that can be found on Netflix. It's made by Riot Games and Fortiche, and based on the game League of Legends. After we watched it together, my child made this music video using footage from the show and a song from my album, In The Saints' Wood. I had the honour of appearing on Jackology's YouTube channel, performing two of the songs from my album.Jackology are a life-enhancing collective who describe themselves as 'One of these magical backdoors inside the matrix... A ship for forest nymphs, lost knights, romantic wolves, troubadours and old school pirates. An artistic oasis for the wicked. A dream, a whisper...'

Rootstock

Rootstock are rockin’ folk and country duo Antoine Melchior and Mark Maddrell. They first played together in 2016, and have been regulars on the scene in La Creuse since 2019.Rootstock play their original compositions as well as covering other artists such as Tom Petty, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash.
